Distribution: Central America (Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Honduras)
Habitat: Humid forests and low-altitude areas with high humidity
Morphology:
- Size: Up to 15 cm in leg span
- Color: Dark brown to black with golden or light brown hairs, giving it a curly appearance
- Robust body with long, hairy legs
Temperature and Humidity:
- Ideal temperature: 22-28°C
- Humidity: 65-80%
Terrarium:
- Recommended size: Minimum 30x30x30 cm
- Substrate: Coconut fiber or peat with at least 5-10 cm depth for burrowing
